Advani says J-K could have gone East Pakistan way
New Delhi, Jan 30 (PTI) Senior BJP leader L K Advanitoday compared Jawaharlal Nehru''s approach to the Kashmirissue with Pakistan''s handling of erstwhile East Bengal whichled to creation of Bangladesh and indicated that a similaroutcome could have taken place in case of Jammu and Kashmir.
He maintained that the "gross mishandling" bythe central government of the BJP''s ''Tiranga Yatra'' revealsthat the Congress has "still not abandoned the distortedthinking about J-K state which made the government committhose early follies".
"Pakistan''s leadership mishandled the eastern wing ofPakistan. The result has been an independent Bangladesh.
