1000 MVA Gas Power Project at Pathankote soon: Shinde

Jammu, Jan 30 (PTI) The Central government is planning toconstruct 1000 Mega Volt-Amperes (MVA) Gas project atPathankote to give relief to the people of Jammu and Kashmirfrom power crises during winters.

"Central Government is planning to construct 1000 MVA Gasproject at Pathankote for providing adequate electricity tothe people of the State," Union Minister for Power SushilKumar Shinde said at a J&K Congress rally organised on the onhis 63rd death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Shinde said the work on Kishan Ganga Hydel Power Projectis under execution and work on other mini and micro hydelpower projects will be taken into hand.
