Two killed as train hit tractor

Kanpur, Jan 30 (PTI) Two people were killed when atrain hit a tractor-trolley on an unmanned railway crossing inthe neighbouring Ramabainagar district, police said today.

The owner of the tractor identified as Raees Ahmad(37) and its driver identified as Mumtaz (31), died on thespot, they said.

The accident happened last evening at the railwaycrossing near the Pukhraya railway station, as the tractorcollided with the Jansadharan Express on its way to Chaprafrom Mumbai, they said.

Railway and police officials are investigating thematter and the dead bodies have been sent for post-mortem. PTIZIR SAK
