Three-day flower show begins
Coimbatore, Jan 29 (PTI) A variety of flowersof different hues were on display at the three-day flower showwhich began here today.
There are 2.25 lakh flowers on display at the show,being organised at the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University.
The main attraction was the artistic display of 200varieties of 20 major flowers from across the globe
The show was inaugurated by State Ministers,Pongalur N Palanisamy and K Ramachandran.
With more than 100 stalls, flowers from Tamil Nadu,Karnataka, Kerala, Sikkim, West Bengal and Shimla werearranged for the benefit of visitors.
Special flowers, like the tulip from Holland, orchids fromThailand and Malaysia and other cut and dry flowers from SouthAfrica and New Zealand caught the attention at the show,jointly organised by TNAU and Rotary Club of Coimbatore. PTINVM
