Skeletal remains of seven suspected naxalites recovered

Munger(Bihar), Jan 30 (PTI) Skeletal remains of sevenpersons, suspected to be that of naxalites, were recoveredfrom Maheshpur Diara locality in Munger district, a seniorpolice officer said.

Acting on a tip off, the police recovered the skeletalremains of seven persons lying in a heap of sandy land, theAdditional Superintendent of Police (ASP) S B Lande said.

Lande said that the skeletal remains were rottenbeyond recognition and these may be that of seven suspectednaxalites who were killed in shootout with the villagers inHiranmar Diara in November last year.

An investigation was underway in the matter, the ASPsaid.
