SHO, head constable suspended

Jaipur, Jan 29 (PTI) An SHO and a head constable weresuspended here today for allegedly attempting to sexuallyharass a girl in the name of interrogating her at Pratap Nagarpolice station, prompting her to make a failed bid to commitsuicide.

The decision to suspend SHO Ramnivas Vishnoi and headconstable Lal Chand Meena was taken at a high level meetingtonight chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, officialsources said.

He also announced to give a fincial help of Rs 10 lakhto the girl who felt insulted after the incident and eventried to commit suicide by jumping before a moving train. PTISDA
