Maoist camp destroyed, one Maoist arrested, arms seized
Rourkela, Jan 29 (PTI) A joint team of CRPF and policedestroyed a Maoist camp in Krupapani reserve forest inSundargarh district bordering Jharkhand, arrested a Maoist andseized a huge a cache of arms today, police sources said.
In a joint operation, Sundargarh police and CRPFpersonnel raided the naxal camp in the early hours of todayleading to an exchange of fire with the red ultras, thesources said.
However, no security personnel suffered any injury. Thesecurity forces were able to capture one of the maoists andseized five bags, five mobiles and four rifles from the spot.
Superintendent of Police of Sundargarh Dipak Kumar saiddestruction of the maoist camp was a major success in antinaxal operation.
Combing operation and search was still continuing inthe dense forest, while interrogation of the arrested maoistwas on, he added.
