Man remanded to judicial custody for murdering fiancee
Ghaziabad, Jan 29 (PTI) A local court today remanded aperson to 14 days judicial custody for allegedly raping andmurdering his fiancee last month, a senior police officialsaid.
Deepak, a resident of Shahdara, confessed that he rapedand murdered his fiancee Priyanka on December 11 last month,said senior superintendent of police Raghuvir Lal.
The couple were colleagues in a factory and were evenphysically intimate. After Priyanka forced him for marriage,he rejected her proposal and found a new job in Noida, hesaid.
However, Priyanka called him on December 11 and thecouple had an altercation following which he raped her andstabbed her to death, Lal said.
The victim''s body was found lying in Jubli on December 19last month, he said.
A knife which was used as the murder weapon was alsorecovered from him, he added.
