J&K Governor summons J&K Legislature session on February 28
Jammu, Jan 29 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohratoday summoned the state Legislative Assembly and Council tomeet at Jammu on 28th February for the Budget Session of2011-2012.
Vohra, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him undersection 53 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir, hassummoned the State Legislative Assembly and the LegislativeCouncil to meet at Jammu on 28th February this year, a RajBhawan spokesman said tonight.
The state cabinet, which met here yesterday under theChairmanship of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah approvedsummoning of the Legislative Assembly and Council at Jammu forthe Budget Session 2011-2012 from February 28 this year.
Taking a cue from the Parliament, the state BudgetSession would conducted into two sessions for the first time.
"First part of the budget session would start fromFebruary 28 and conclude with presentation of budget. Then itwould recommence on April 5 again," state Assembly SpeakerMohammed Akbar Lone said.
