Girl found dead inside gutter

Mumbai, Jan 30 (PTI) The decomposed body of athree-year-old girl, missing for the last eleven days, wastoday found in a gutter in suburban Vakola, police said.

The girl has been identified as Anjali Gupta and herbody was taken to a nearby civic-run hospital for post mortem,police said.

The residents of New Shastri Chawl noticed foulsmell from a gutter behind a public toilet and when theyopened the gutter, the body was found.

The locals immediately informed the police.

On January 19, the girl''s father, Vineet Gupta, hadlodged a complaint after his daughter went missing,police said.

Apparently, the girl fell into the gutter whileplaying and drowned, police said adding that further probe wason.
