Five injured in Pak blast
Islamabad, Jan 29 (PTI) At least five persons, includinga child and two policemen, were injured when a suspected carbomb went off in a congested neighbourhood in Quetta city ofsouthwest Pakistan today, officials said.
The bomb, believed to have been planted in a car parkedoutside a school in Alamdar Road, went off at about 11 amlocal time.
The home of a senior police official is located a shortdistance from the site of the blast, witnesses said.
The injured were taken to a nearby hospital.
The powerful blast, which destroyed the car, was heardfrom several kilometres away and caused panic in parts ofQuetta.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack.
