Dacoits stab five in Bihar bound train
Ghaziabad, Jan 29 (PTI) Five passengers were allegedlystabbed and looted by armed dacoits when they were travellingin a Bihar bound train here, railways sources said today.
The incident occurred when some dacoits, who were alreadypresent in the general compartment of the Porbunder Express,stabbed five passengers when they tried to resist theirattempt to loot them last night, they said.
The dacoits decamped with mobile phones, cash and othervaluables and crossed river Yamuna after the train slowed, thevictims claimed.
The Motihari bound train had left from New Delhi railwaystation and was stopped after news of the dacoity spread,sources said, adding the injured were then rushed to MMGgovernment hospital here.
The exact strength of the dacoits and value of the itemslooted is still being investigated, they added.
