AI to reintroduce evening flights on Chennai-Trivandrum route

Chennai, Jan 29 (PTI) National air-carrier Air India willreintroduce flights in the evening on theChennai-Thiruvananthapuram route from February.

The flight IC 912 would leave Chennai at 1820 hours andreach Thiruvananthapuram at 1930 hours. The return flight, IC911, will depart Thiruvananthapuram at 1620 hours and reachChennai at 1735 hours, a statement said.

The service on the Chennai-Thiruvananthapuram route wasstopped a few months ago.

Currently, the morning flight leaves Chennai at 0855 hoursand reach Thiruvananthapuram via Bangalore at 1115 hours. Onthe return journey, the flight from Thiruvananthapuram wouldleave at 0700 hours and reach Chennai at 0855 hours, thestatement said.

The introduction of an evening flight provides day returnfacility between Chennai and Thiruvananthapuram, it added. PTIVIJ ARP
