Air sorties for remote areas in Kishtwar district launched

Jammu, Jan 29 (PTI) Aircraft services have been launchedto remote and mountain locked Warwan, Marwan and Dachhan areasof Kishtwar district to rescue passengers stranded due toheavy snowfall in the region.

In view of large number of passengers stranded at Warwan,Marwan and Dachhan areas of Kishtwar district due to heavysnowfall during winter season, special aircraft services havebeen launched on January 28, district officials said.

As many as 198 passengers have been airlifted from theseareas and more air sorties can be launched when registrationis done by respective officers of these areas, they said,adding the sorties would take off from Kishtwar.
