Kalpataru net up 15 pc at Rs 50.78 cr in Q3

Mumbai, Jan 29 (PTI) Leading EPC player in powertransmission and distribution, Kalpataru Power Transmission,(KPTL) today reported a 15.22 per cent increase in its netprofit for the third quarter (Q3) of FY 11 at Rs 50.78 croreagainst Rs 44.07 crore in the year-ago period.

The company''s revenue grew by 10.26 per cent toRs 793.04-crore as compared to Rs 719.23-crore in the samequarter last fiscal, a press release issued here stated.

"We have been concentrating on our core verticals andour continuous focus on expanding in new geographiesmanifested in our results. Our performance has continued toimprove on a sequential basis, in line with the pick up indemand in the domestic as well as overseas market. We continueto maintain a positive business outlook in future," thecompany''s Managing Director, Pankaj Sachdeva, said.

The present order book of Kalpataru is worth overRs 5,000-crore, the release said.

KPTL''s subsidiary, JMC Project (India), posted a netprofit of Rs 10-crore, up by 21 per cent over thecorresponding quarter last year.

The subsidiary reported a total income of Rs 364-crorefor Q3 as against Rs 339-crore in the year-ago period.

JMC has an order book of over Rs 4,300-crore, it said.
