Indo-Australia art symposium begins in Delhi
New Delhi, Jan 29 (ANI): In an effort to bolster bilateral cultural relations with Australia, an art symposium has been organised here, showcasing unique creations of both Indian and Australian artists.
Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar inaugurated the symposium on Friday.
Peter Varghese, the Australian High Commissioner to India, told reporters on the occasion that there is lot of improvement in bilateral relations between both countries and these shows play a key role in improving long-term relationship.
"I think it's a very positive step in a relationship because one of the things we do need to do is to bring the communities together in a way that we haven't so far. So, I think the government to government relation is going well," said Varghese.
"But in the end, I think if you want a strong relationship, we need to understand each other, have a good sense of each other and these sorts of exhibitions can help in it," he added. (ANI)
