BSY admits land allotment was a mistake

Bangalore, Jan 29: The Karnataka chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa admitted that he made a mistake by allotting the lands in and round the Bangalore to his sons. Yeddyurappa drew flak from the Governor HR Bharadwaj and opposition parties for allotting lands for his kins. The charges against Yeddyurappa also pressed the governor to sanction his prosecution and Opposition tried to make cash in on issue as much as possible.

Yeddyurappa on Friday, Jan 28 said, "if land is there you can offer it to anybody. My mistake is I allotted land to my son. If court takes a decision, let them take back the land."

The scam charges posed threat to Yeddyurappa's political career. However, he managed to convince the BJP top brace and continued in his post.

Yeddyurappa also slammed governor for giving permission to prosecute him and said, "he has converted the Raj Bhavan into a political party. I want to ask the governor sahib, What is your intention?"

Yeddyurappa said that Bharadwaj is a Congressman and he has sent to Karnataka with a specific mission by the Congress high command.

Yeddyurappa said that the governor neither sent him a notice nor called him to discuss about the allegations against him. He also claimed that since the very beginning he his acting as an Opposition leader and said, “I am ready to face the prosecution in court."
