Two men hacked to death by older brother, nephew
Rohtak, Jan 27 (PTI) Two men were hacked to deathallegedly by their elder brother and his son at Giravarvillage here today, police said.
"The deceased have been identified as Baljeet and Rajbir.
A case of murder under IPC section 302 has been registeredagainst their older brother Karamveer and his son Sunil and ahunt is on to nab them," a police official said.
A dispute over ancestral property is apparently thereason behind the double murder, he said.
According to reports, the incident took place whenBaljeet and Rajbir were working at their fields this eveningand their elder brother Karamveer and his son Sunil went thereand started arguing with the two over the property dispute.
The argument turned violent as Karamveer and Sunilattacked Baljeet and Rajbir with a sharp edged weapon.
Baljeet reportedly died on the spot while Rajbirsustained serious injuries. After perpetrating the crime, thefather-son duo fled from the spot.
Hearing screams, some people working in nearby fieldsrushed to the spot and took Rajbir to PGIMS, Rohtak, where hesuccumbed to his injuries after some time.
On receiving information, the police rushed to the spotand sent Baljeet''s body to PGIMS Rohtak for postmortem aftertaking stock of the situation, the police official said. PTICORR GS
