Two drug peddlers get 10 years imprisonment

Sasaram, Jan 27 (PTI) A local court in Bihar''s Rohtasdistrict today convicted two drug peddlers to 10 yearsimprisonment and awarded seven years'' jail terms to two otheraccused.

The order was passed by the district and session courtjudge Arun Kumar Sharma.

The judge convicted Anil Bind and Chandra Dev Bind to10 years'' imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000 each, whiletwo others, Ashutosh Bahadur Singh and Jitendra Pasi receiveda jail term of seven years each and a fine of Rs 2000 each.

According to the prosecution, the four convictedpersons were arrested for possession a pouch of heroin fromBanrasia village under Mufassil police station area in Bihar''sRohtas district on July 14, 2006.

The local police had booked the accused under theNDPS.
