TTD raises prices of its non-laddu prasadams

Tirumala, Jan 28: Citing rise in the prices of ingredients used to prepare its prasadams, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has decided to increase the rate of the Lord's various prasadams. But the TTD has not raised price of its famous prasadam,'Tirupati Laddus."

Presently TTD sells easch laddu at Rs 25. Devotees who visit the Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala hills buy the prasadams, especially laddus, and bring them to distribute it to their near and dear.

The increased prices of the Tirupati prasadams will come into effect from today, Jan 28. The raised prices apply to prasadams such as jalebi, which is now increased to Rs 70 from Rs 25. Vada is increased from Rs four to Rs 25 and 'Muruku' or 'Chakli' has been raised from Rs four to Rs 30.
