TTAADC elections to be held on February 24

Agartala, Jan 27 (PTI) Elections to 527 VillageCommittees in Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council(TTAADC) will be held on February 24 next, official sourcessaid today.

State Election Commissioner Y P Singh said thatnotification would be made on January 29 and last date formaking nomination is February 5.

While scrutiny of all nomination papers would be carriedout on February 7, the counting will be held on February 26,he said adding that the polling would be held on ballotsinstead of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).

The state election panel has already published finalelectoral rolls.

The total voters stands at 6,71,163 of which 3,39,645 aremale and 3,31,518 are female.
