Three teenage boys saved from joining militancy
Srinagar, Jan 27 (PTI) Police today detained threeteenaged boys, who wanted to join miltancy, in Kulgam districtof Kashmir but let them off after counselling in view of theiryoung age.
"Police rescued three boys from joining militancy invillage Kujar of Yaripora area of Kulgam district (75 kmsfrom here) and after counselling, handed them over to theirparents," a police spokesman said.
The boys -- identified as Adil Hussain Baba, AdilAhmad Dar and Asif Ahmad Ganaie -- are students of ninth and10th classes.
They had approached a former militant for joiningmilitancy but the ultra, who had surrendered, refused to helpthem, the spokesman said.
Keeping in view the tender age of the boys, policehas advised these young boys to pursue studies and not fallprey to the machinations of forces inimical to peace.
