Nine Maoists killed in Jharkhand's Luhur jungles

Ranchi, Jan 28: In a jolt to Maoists, nine of their activists were killed in an encounter with security personnel at Luhur jungles in Latehar district of Jharkhand on Friday morning, Jan 28.

"Nine bodies of the Maoists were recovered after the encounter at Luhur jungle under Barwadih police statstion," Latehar SP Kuldweep Diwedi told a news agency.

The security forces comprising the district police and Centra Reserved Police Force (CRPF) have recovered arms and ammunition from the venue of encounter, the police said.
