Haryana govt to introduce e-tendering process
Chandigarh, Jan 27 (PTI) The Haryana government hasdecided to adpopt e-tendering for development works above Rs5 lakh.
The process would apply to projects implemented byPublic Works Department (Building and Roads), Irrigation andPublic Health and Engineering departments.
The decision was taken at a meeting of Haryana StateFlood Control Board under the chairmanship of Chief MinisterBhupinder Singh Hooda today where schemes worth Rs 705.50crore were approved for control of floods.
Hooda directed the concerned departments to implemente-tendering at the earliest for transparency andcompetitiveness during the process.
The meeting also approved 251 new flood controlschemes and 103 existing flood control schemes worth Rs 664crore and Rs 157 crore respectively.
