Film on Telangana agitation cleared, Director accepts cuts
Hyderabad, Jan 27 (PTI) Decks have been cleared for therelease of ''Jai bolo Telangana'', a feature film on theTelangana statehood issue, with the Director accepting theremoval of certain scenes suggested by the state Censor Board.
"The Censor Board has suggested some cuts. I agreed toit. I plan to release the film on February four," the film''sDirector N Shankar told reporters today.
A controversy was triggered after the Censor Boardinitially objected to certain scenes in the film and theTelangana activists, including TRS, took exception to thestance of the board.
The students of Osmania University and others tried tostorm the Censor Board office here.
However, the issue had a happy ending after theDirector agreeing to the cuts suggested by the board.
