Constable found hanging

New Delhi, Jan 27 (PTI) A Delhi Fire Servicesconstable allegedly committed suicide at his residence incentral Delhi, police said today.

The incident took place in Ranjit Nagar on Mondaynight and the victim has been identified as Soukendra (35).

He was found hanging by his 11-year-old son when hewent inside the room to fetch a magazine. His wife Devender,an ASI at the Subzi Mandi police station, had asked the boy toget the magazine.

No suicide note has been recovered and police isinvestigating the reason for the constable taking the extremestep. Kaur was his second wife.

He was rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyay hospital wherethe doctors declared him brought dead.

Soukendra was posted at New Chanakyapuri fire station.
