SC to hear case on black money in foreign banks
In the hearing, the Union Government is to put forth its advocay on the issue. The apex court has already expressed its resentment over the government's negligent attitude in revealing details of Indias who have stashed black money in foreign banks.
Justice B Sudershan Reddy-led Bench will hear the case on black money stashed illegally in foregin banks by Indians.
On the same day, the court is also to hold crucial hearing on the fate of Central Vigilance Committee chief P J Thomas and the matter of bail of former Gujarat home minister Amit Shah.
The legality of the CVC chief's appointment would be decided by a a three-judge Bench, led by Chief Justice of India SH Kapadia. Thomas is facing allegations in the palmolein import and 2G scam.
