Shot US Congresswoman Giffords moved to rehab center in 'good' condition

Tucson (Arizona, US), Jan.27 (ANI): Democratic Party Representative Gabrielle Giffords has been moved from a Houston hospital to a nearby rehabilitation center after doctors upgraded her condition from "serious" to "good.ccording to the Washington Post, the Arizona Democrat had been in the neuro-intensive care unit at Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center since arriving in Houston on Friday, and now she will continue her long-term recovery at the TIRR Memorial Hermann rehabilitation center.

Giffords was shot in the head at close range at a constituent event in Tucson on January 8. The shooting rampage killed six and injured 12 others.

"Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords has made strong progress in the Neuro ICU. This evening, her doctors upgraded her condition from serious to good and determined that she is ready to move," a hospital statement said. (ANI)
