No clue of abducted Ch''garh jawans, searches intensified

Raipur, Jan 27 (PTI) Search operations have beenintensified to trace five abducted personnel of theChhattisgarh Armed Force but police said they still have noclue to their whereabouts, police said today.

Ram Niwas, ADG, Naxal Operation, Chhattisgarh saidsearches have turned up no clue about the missing personnel--head constable Ramadhar Patel, Raghunandan Dhruv, T Ikka andconstables Ranjan Dubey and Manishankar--although severalpolice teams have been sent to various places across thenaxal-hit state.

Meanwhile, family members of the kidnapped jawans haveappealed Naxals for their safe and early release.

Six persons, including five personnel of ChhattisgarhArmed Force were abducted by suspected Maoists from Narayanpurdistrict of the state on Tuesday, police said.

An armed group of Naxals had stopped a bus and abductedfive jawans of the State Armed Force and a localnear Kungadavillage.

The five jawans, deployed at Dhanoura police camp in thedistrict, had taken leave and were going to Narayanpur whenthe incident occured.
