Nawaz warns PPP-led Pak govt to implement ten-point agenda or pack up
Islamabad, Jan 27(ANI): Pakistan Muslim League-N chief Nawaz Sharif has categorically stated that either the federal government should implement his ten-point agenda or be ready to pack up and go home.
Earlier, it had been reported that the ruling Pakistan People's Party had termed two points as not immediately doable, and therefore they were pushed to the second priority, reducing the ten-point programme to eight.
In an interview with a TV channel that is due to be released tonight, Nawaz said the agenda had been formulated based on national interest, and would be implemented even if the nation had to hold midterm elections, The Nation reports.
If the government failed to implement his agenda, it would have to go home and another government would complete the ten-point programme, said the PML-N chief.
For a change, either midterm elections would be held or the opposition parties inside the National Assembly would form a government together to fulfil this agenda, he added.
Nawaz also said that his party had no desire to become a commander for implementation of this agenda, as its only purpose was to implement the agenda irrespective of who did it.
He warned that if the government failed to fulfil its promises in 45 days, the PML-N would then announce its strategy. (ANI)
