International Customs Day celebrated in Delhi
New Delhi, Jan.27 (ANI): Indian Customs celebrated International Customs Day on Thursday at function held here.
S. Dutt Majumder, Chairman of the Central Board of Excise and Customs, was the chief guest.
Trade organizations and international trade stakeholders, besides Indian Customs officials took part in the event.
India has always been a proactive member of the World Customs Organization and a member of its policy commission.
The World Customs Organization has dedicated the year 2011 to the propmotion and pursuit of customs knowledge activities.
Member, Customs S.K.Goel and Salil Bhandari, the president of the Punjab-Haryana-Delhi Chambers of Commerce and Industry addressed the gathering at the event. (ANI)
