Toll rules to be amended
Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 25 (PTI) Kerala Government todaydecided to amend the rules concerning levying of toll fromusers of newly built bridges making it applicable only forthose bridges that incurred a total cost of Rs three core andabove including the land value.
The bridges built at a cost of upto Rs 10 crore would bepermitted to levy toll for 15 years and those incurred overRs 10 Crore could collect it for 20 years.
For bringing these changes the Toll Act of 1976 andthe Toll Levy Rules of 1983 would be amended, Chief MinisterV S Achuthanandan told reporters.
