Second LS member dies

Jamshedpur, Jan 25 (PTI) Sambhunath Godsari, who was amember of the second Lok Sabha, died in his Sagardih villagein the copper township of Musaboni in East Singhbhum districttoday following prolonged illness, family sources said.

He was 87 and left behind two sons and a daughter.

Godsari won the Lok Sabha election on Jharkhand Partyticket and represented Singhbhum constituency in undividedBihar from 1957 to 1962.

He was not given the party ticket in the next electionfollowing differences of opinion with the then party chiefJaipal Singh Munda and decided to quit active politics, familysources said.

Godsari will be cremated in Musaboni tomorrow.
