RCom launches 3G Services in Himachal
Shimla, Jan 25 (PTI) Leading telecom service providerReliance Communications (RCom) today demonstrated 3G servicesin the state, paving the way for their commercial launch.
The company has launched 3G services in Delhi, Mumbai,Kolkata and Punjab and demonstrated its capabilities in Jammuand Kashmir and Rajasthan. It is all set to launch them in 13circles to register nationwide presence.
RCom has rolled out 3G services in a record time ofaround 100 days of receiving the spectrum (radio waves) in themajor metros, Prashant Gokarn, 3G Head of RCom said.
He said that by the end of this week, Rcom in Himachal,will offer 3G services in Shimla, Solan, Baddi, Nalagarh,Mandi, Paonta Sahib, Kullu, Palampur, Hamirpur, Kangra,Dalhousie, Dharamshala and Una.
Personalisation of services, simplification of tariffsand a content rich portfolio on the �Best in Class� 3GWireless Network will enable customers to get superior 3Gservice experience, said Sami Butt, Rcom Circle Head,Himachal.
Reliance 3G networks are capable of offering peak speedup to 21 Mbps, Butt added.
