NRI drugged, robbed on train
Khandwa (MP), Jan 25 (PTI) A non-resident Indian wasdrugged and looted on Karnataka Express, Police said today.
US-based Dr Deepak Kamat, the victim, has registered acomplaint with the Government Railway Police here stating thathe was drugged and looted of belongings worth Rs 3 lakh.
Three people claiming to be IIT students fromBangalore befriended Dr Kamat who was travelling in an AC-2compartment of Karnataka Express (Delhi to Bangalore) and gavehim some food laced with drugs last night, GRP sources said.
After Dr Kamat fell unconscious, the accused fled withhis bag containing a laptop, two mobile phones, USD 6000 cash,credit cards and a gold chain.
The incident took place near Agra, while Dr Kamatregained consciousness before reaching here. PTI COR LAL MASKRK
