Youth arrested for raping two minors

Jaipur, Jan 25 (PTI) A 24-year-old youth was arrestedtoday for allegedly raping two minors in Alwar district ofRajasthan, police said.

"The accused Ganga Nut has confessed to the crime andis being interrogated," said Mahesh Goyal, Superintendent ofPolice, Alwar.

Both the cases were reported in the rural areas of thedistrict and the victims were targeted when they had gone tocollect firewood.

The two cases was reported on October 7 last in Biraivillage and on November 6 in Aerodrome Road area.

"Both the cases were registered in women policestation of Alwar last year. After detailed investigations by aspecial team led by Priti Chandra, Additional Superintendentof Police(rural), the accused was apprehended today," the SPsaid.

Ganga was also involved in a similar incident ofalleged rape about a year ago but the case was withdrawn,Goyal said.

The accused would lure the girls to an isolated placein forest area on the pretext of providing firewood and rapethem, he said.
