Uddhav inaugurates virtual education system in BMC schools
Mumbai, Jan 24 (PTI) The students of BrihanmumbaiMunicipal Corporation (BMC)-run schools can now benefit from avirtual education system launched by the civic body.
The idea was proposed by Shiv Sena Executive PresidentUddhav Thackeray who inaugurated a virtual classroom studiosuburban Andheri today. The Sena rules the BMC.
"The virtual classrooms would improve the educationstandard in BMC schools and the students would get guidancefrom experts," he said.
Under the system, all the municipal schools will beconnected through satellite. It will be used across allEnglish, Urdu, Marathi and Hindi medium schools.
A teacher will address students in all schools fromthe studio and have interactive sessions with them. Initially,24 schools will be covered under the project.
