Tibetan monks to lead meditation sessions at Museum of Natural History
New York, Jan 25 (ANI): 12 Tibetan monks will lead meditation sessions at the Museum of Natural History to teach people about Tibetan culture and highlight new research which shows the mental and physiological benefits of meditation.
The meditation will take place this week under the Hall of Ocean life's giant blue whale and under the stars in the planetarium.
The enlightening exhibit is part of the museum's ongoing show "Brain: the inside story".
Buddhist monk Khen Rinpoche will lead monks and visitors in meditation under the iconic 94-foot Blue Whale.
"It is difficult to find quiet in the museum," the New York Post quoted Rinpoche, the abbot of the Tashi Lhunpo Monastery in India, as saying.
