Three persons arrested for murder of family

Lucknow, Jan 24 (PTI) Three persons were todayarrested in connection with the murder of five members of afamily in Sadabad area in Haathras district, police said here.

Ajeet, Rajesh and Dheeraj were today arrested bySadabad police in Haathras district this afternoon andsharp-edged weapons, used in the sensational murders, havebeen recovered, they said.

Five members of a family were shot dead and stabbedby unidentified persons in Sadabad tehsil of Haathrasdistrict, police said.

Ramesh (50), his wife Vineeta (48), son Gopal (18),daughter Meenu (16) and nephew Monu (22) were shot dead byunidentified persons at their Agra road residence late lastnight, they said.

Police said that one of the arrested accused Ajeet isthe son of Ramesh, and Vineeta was her foster mother.

Their treatment towards Ajeet was allegedly not good,due to which, the latter was very upset, they said.

Ajeet along with his brother-in-law Rajesh andlatter''s brother Dheeraj executed the murders, police said,adding that the name of one more person has cropped up andefforts were on to nab him.
