Refined palmolein decline on ample supply

Mumbai, Jan 25 (PTI) Refined palmolein prices fell in anotherwise sluggish oils and oilseeds market here today due toreduced stockists demand amidst adequated supply positions.

Groundnut oil maintined the steady trend on lack ofbuying support.

Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial dropped owingto improved supply positions coupled with lower stockistsofftake.

Castorseeds futures market also slid on stockistoffloading on the back of easing export enquiries.

In the edible-oil section, refined palmolein dipped byby Rs 8 per 10kgs to Rs 590 from yesterday''s closing levelof Rs 598. Groundnut oil ruled unchanged at Rs 770 per 10kgs.

Turning to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold lostby Rs 50 per 100kgs to Rs 5,400 from Rs 5,450, whilecastoroil commercial moved down by Rs 10 per 10kgs to Rs 1,110as against Rs 1,120 yesterday. Linseed oil closed stable at Rs710 per 10kgs.

Moving to futures section, castorseeds for March deliveryresumed lower at Rs 4,325 and fell sharply to close at Rs4,240 from overnight closing level of Rs 4,375, showing ahefty loss of Rs 135 per tonne.
