Mob goes on rampage after road accident
Jodhpur, Jan 24 (PTI) Police today lathicharged a mobafter angry men burnt two buses and pelted stones during therampage following a road accident here.
The incident was triggered when four persons wereinjured after a state roadways bus lost balance and hit aparked bus, Police Commissioner Bhupendra Kumar Dak said.
Enraged over the incident, angry people blocked theroad and set the two buses on fire. They also started to peltstones.
Three fire tenders were rushed to the spot, but thebuses had burnt completely by the time firemen doused theflames.
The mob also damaged another roadways bus from Nagaurdepot, which had just left from the city bus station.
Police resorted to a mild lathicharge to disperse themob, the officer said, adding that some persons have beendetained.
