Left to provide detailed info to EC about allegations
Kolkata, Jan 24 (PTI) The Left parties will providedetailed information about their allegations, including"partiality" shown by election observers, to the ElectionCommission within a week.
CPI-M politburo member Biman Bose told reporters herethat the Election Commission had sought detailed informationfrom the Left parties about their allegations.
"The Left parties had submitted a memorandum to the ChiefElection Commissioner on January 21 containing allegationslike the partial action by election observers during theirrecent visit to the state to assess law and order situation,"Bose said.
Asked to comment on Chief Election Commissioner S YQuraishi''s observation that the situation in poll-bound WestBengal was grave, Bose said, "There was no discussion in theLeft Front during the day about it." PTI PKC PB MD
