IBM ties up with KEONICS
Bangalore, Jan 24 (PTI) IBM today announced implementationof its mainframe hardware and software products at KarnatakaState Electronics Development Corporation (KEONICS).
The implementation includes a Mainframe server (z10)hosted at IBM datacenter, zOS software, Enterprise levelstorage device (DS8700) and transfer of skills to runtechnical training and Mainframe related courses at over 150centres of KEONICS, IBM said in a statement.
"These trainings will enable students, buddingprofessionals and IT officials for better employmentopportunities in their career", it said.
Besides, KEONICS would also use this higher educationprogramme to further mature as the technology servicesprovider for the state, IBM said.
KEONICS is a Government of Karnataka owned corporationproviding IT consultancy services, application development,setting up IT infrastructure, developing IT Parks andproviding basic computer education and technical trainingservices through its partners.
