Effective action against illegal mining: Raj Minister
Jaipur, Jan 24 (PTI) Under a special campaign to curbillegal mining in Rajasthan, the state mining department haslodged 211 cases and recovered a revenue of 39.22 lakh duringone week.
"In different districts, seven FIRs were registeredand seven persons arrested for illegal mining. Over 71vehicles used in the illegal mining were also seized.
Six separate cases were lodged for mining from January17 to January 23 and several other cases were also lodged inconnection with illegal mining," state forest minister RamlalJaat said today.
"Effective efforts were made to curb the illegalpractice in the state during the campaign and departmentaction is also being planned against the staff members offorest department, where we found illegal mining in forestland," he said.
