BJP worker seeks prosecution of Omar over flag issue
Indore, Jan 25 (PTI) An application has been filed inthe magistrate''s court here against Jammu and Kashmir ChiefMinister Omar Abdullah seeking that he be prosecuted forpreventing BJP''s Ekta Yatra from entering the state.
A similar application was filed in Gwalior by anotherperson last week.
The present application, moved by former local BJPcorporator Shekhar Kibe, says that Abdullah''s act ofpreventing the ''Rashtriya Ekta Yatra'' from entering Kashmiramounts to ''treason'', as it is aimed at not allowing citizensto hoist the tricolour in Srinagar on Janurary 26.
Kibe has sought that Abdullah should be prosecutedunder relevant laws.
Judicial Magistrate First Class A P Singh has listedthe matter for hearing on January 28.
