Three youths nabbed with 500 live cartridges

Meerut, Jan 24 (PTI) Three youths allegedly working asarms dealers were nabbed with 500 live cartridges of 315 Borecalibre here, police said today.

Ali Akbar, who is a resident of Moradabad, Mehboob fromBijnore and Yasik from Lavad were intercepted at theUniversity crossing yesterday evening when they weretravelling on their motorcycles, they said.

The three have experience as weapons dealers and werecarrying fake press cards with a press sticker on the bumperof their motorcycles, they added.

The police had stopped them for checking owing to thetightened security for Republic Day.
