Security beefed up in Tripura
Agartala, Jan 24 (PTI) With barely two days left for theRepublic Day celebrations, security has been beefed up inTripura, official sources said.
Special operations have been launched in the vulnerableplaces of the state to ensure peaceful celebration of theRepublic Day, a senior police officer said.
Some security camps were set up along the border assecond line of defence to foil any intrusion bid from acrossthe border, he said.
Tripura Frontier of BSF has already sealed the 856 kmIndo-Bangla border following request from the state police, hesaid
Night patrolling and surveillance have also beenintensified to ensure full proof security along the border.
The CRPF has tightened security measures on theAssam-Agartala National Highway (NH-44) on the eve of RepublicDay. As part of precautionary measures, movement of RoadOpen Party (ROP) has been stepped up.
Night train services from Silchar to Agartala,Badarpur- Lumding and Agartala to Dharmanagar have beensuspended till January 27 due to security reason. PTI COR MM
