Banda rape: Accused portrays itself as victim
Now, the another MLA's involvement in different case seems to add on the piles of miseries for Mayawati as well as the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in Uttar Pradesh.
According the sources, a woman accused BSP MLA Prasad Yadav of shielding a man who, she alleges, raped her.
The alleged rapist Vinod Awasthi is the principal of a college which is owned by the accused BSP MLA Yadav.
The woman claimed that her husband's employer Awasthi raped her and after the incident, unable to bear the shock, her husband committed suicide.
The woman also accused the MLA that he along with Awasthi tried to frame her in a case of abetting her husband's suicide.
However, denying all the allegations, the accused MLA stated, "I have already said that whatever allegations the woman is accusing me of, be investigated appropriately."
