Karna declares day''s mourning
Bangalore, Jan 24 (PTI) Karnataka Government todaydeclared a day''s mourning on the demise of legendary vocalistPandit Bhimsen Joshi.
Joshi was born at Gadag in Dharwad district ofKarnataka.
Governor H R Bhardwaj in his condolence message said,"I express my deep sense of loss and grief on the demise oftallest Hindustani Musician. King of Kirana Gharana, Joshi hadmesmerised music connoisseurs and the commoners equally withhis performance all over the world".
Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa expressed grief overthe demise of Joshi, whom he described as a "mosttalented musician".
Yeddyurappa left for Pune to pay his last respects tothe departed soul.
