Four held for running betting racket on India-SA ODI

Bhopal, Jan 24 (PTI) Four persons were apprehended herefor allegedly running a betting racket on the India-SouthAfrica one-day Cricket Match played yesterday, police saidtoday.

On a tip-off from an informer, a raid was conducted at ahouse near Koh-e-fiza leading to the arrest of the accusedidentified as Jaspal Singh, Vijay Sahu, Narendra and Manoj.

Also Rs 9,000 in cash, three laptops, one desktopcomputer and a voice recorder in which conversations wererecorded have been seized, they said.

The four are being interrogated and furtherinvestigations into the case are on, police added.
